Census, Total persons Insured vis Uninsured by county for all 50 states, USA, 2005

The poly shapefile shows the latest estimates of total number of persons with and without health care insurance by county for all the 50 states. In much of south-west percent of people with no health-care insurance runs in double digits. The top 20 counties with more than 35% to 45% uninsured persons are all located in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

Much of Alaska also has the dubious distinction of percent people between 10% to as high as 25% plus with no health care insurance.
